A preneed guardian defines your preferred choice for a guardian if one is ever needed in the future. This document should be a part of your estate plan if you have a preference of who will take care of you and make decisions for you if you are ever determined to be a ward of the state. With a preneed guardian document, you are able to tell the court who your preference is while you are able to do so. If you fail to designate a guardian, the Court will do so for you if it becomes necessary.
